The game: you can't fly until level 42

Toume: completely unfazed by things like "expectations"

is2g they don't even pause to think "is the game going to let me jump off this cliff/climb up this mountain" they just Fuckin Go lmfao IN RELATED NEWS, you can get off the Blood Tundra mountain town by just. going straight east. right off the mountain. you can just Do That. found that out today when toume just. Did It.

I hate to say it but I think they might win the "most like an actual shounen anime protagonist" award in the group,,, lmfao

p.s. in other related news, discovered that even if you manage to jump through the flying chest thingies, you aren't allowed to collect them if you don't have wings, nothing happens

....WELL.

THAT SURE IS A THING I DIDN'T KNOW COULD HAPPEN.
okay so eureka crafting is one of my favourite things about bulk crafting but

BRANCH OF CROWS??!?!?!?

brb I need to craft a dozen snazzy shelves ...
I actually posted that and then like ten minutes later was like "hmm maybe I should just give this to V" lmao

f'real if you haven't actually ground out the snazzy shelves for the crows yet, you can have mine, we can find a time to catch each other in game
I haven't done any shelves yet! *grabby hands* Yes please yes please!

Also did you know that the Raven Rune wallpaper you gave me when I first started playing is how I came up with the inspiration for my whole sanctuary? It's why it's this big cluttered library (and I'm really really happy with it!)

We've been working on slowly chipping away at season challenges and just collecting a buncha stuff to use later. Kieran started doing furniture shopping last night, which is a nice change lol Sion and I tend to be like "this is nice but I don't know what to do with it yet so I'll come back later", while Kieran is like "you like this? we can afford it, let's get it and figure out how to use it later" (now you see why I'd never discovered eurekas before lmfao)

that said, next time I play is probably gonna be a Sanctuary decor session, we've collected a bunch of new stuff. It'll be nice to not have the place look barren and empty lol but I'm also anticipating being like, "we need More Dyes Forever"

I'm still on the fence about the Snazzy Windows tho. The place definitely needs windows, but I dunno about those windows.
Sanctuary decorating is so good! I ignored it for a while because you need so much stuff it just seemed like too big a task. But once you start filling up the rooms it's really satisfying. Also it totally makes sense that Kieran is the one taking the lead on the house decorating!

I'm kind of with you on the Snazzy Windows? I put them in my café room, but I originally intended them for the library but they just don't look the right mood (imo they have a very specific mood).

This is such a majestic picture. Absolutely not out of place in a shounen anime XD

And yes I did know that about the chests! Terrana has been similarly pressing the boundaries of what can be scaled and leapt from and mentioned it recently. But if you can get to the 'wings only' harvesting areas (and some of them are possible!) you can harvest the plants there as normal. Which isn't as exciting as sky jellies and chests but is still useful.

I have wings though! I love having wings in this game. I think they intend that the large wings you unlock later on may have increased flight capabilities (or that's my personal hope, anyway!)

Aside: Problem with Feral though is that I keep side-eyeing other games and being like 'what do you mean I can't be a dragon? What about a cat??'

Oh yeah you mentioned that!

What's hilarious to me about this tho is like, I'm the one who's like "hmm, will the game let me do this? let me try it" and Sion is like over there strategically testing limits to deconstruct the game mechanics and model the basic design rules and then Toume just.... runs off a cliff. no questioning involved l m a o the most I got from them was "there's no damage" which I mean that's legit lol

they spent all last night jumping around trying to parkour all the rocks in the snowstorm part of the tundra (which Sion and I always get lost in and give up) and as a result found a whole BUNCH of new areas and sketches

hey now those are legitimate complaints tho if you ask me lmfao

Relatedly, I want to get digitigrade legs and non-human heads into Soul Scribes at some point but I decided that making char customization free whenever means I could also just make those bits a later release instead of giving myself a headache now trying to get all the art to work

Toume has The Gift :O

Also I absolutely get lost in the blizzard as well! Though I'm getting better at it. My favourite part is the secret blood spring with the terrifying music. The first time I went there it was triggering all my 'empty space' problems alongside the music and I literally had to turn off the music! Now I just love it though.

Re: digitigrade legs and non-human heads: I am 100% up for this but also, do it later. The options you have already are *so good*. I have a dragon tail! And a cute little kitty nose! It can come later, honestly I think people will be delighted with the existing options.

Well I'll catch you another time hopefully. And now I know the kind of time you might be online, it'll be easier!

I missed you AGAIN DDDD: I think I came off like an hour early!

I was playing Age of Mythology for the first time (which is a 19 year-old game). There was rampant unemployment but the army was mostly monsters. I had a good time.

I actually made a branch of ravens myself yesterday because I needed to spend likes to complete my season pass and I'd already built a dozen more academic bookcases! So you don't need to trade it to me now (although if you don't want it, I will ABSOLUTELY use it!)
