So does anyone have thoughts on reading books instead? Alternatively, what do you think would help you feel more motivated to participate? (Mental health and lack of people aside, that is).

I've actually been having a hard time reading anything lately and the short stories were the only thing I read for a while, so I actually liked it a lot and am not sure if books will be much better. Those two are a big part I think, I think we're also all not very good at kicking off the discussion, I did like talking about them the times we got going on a story, it's just hard to start and also slacking begat slacking.
I've wondered if maybe adding some more structure to the discussions could help, but none of the book club discussion topics I could find online seemed very useful.
:/ not sure really.

Yeah, same. (Also all book club discussion prompts I could find were basically either garbage or just useless for short stories, yes)
Maybe we should just keep trying, then? Maybe we could do a recap first, idk

as long as the stories get read, though, does it really matter
