Just one song at a time!

Unsurprisingly, I've been obsessed with soundtracks from Gundam, but particularly BEYOND THE TIME (the new version by LUNA SEA, from MSG: The Origin! Check out the OP video too, it's brilliant~!)

Hmm I switched back to Caleb Hyles while working on code lately so let's see... The most recent cover he's done that I added to my playlist is "Holding Out For A Hero" and is AS USUAL excellent.

Actually I got a whole Caleb Hyles playlist on Spotify, I think it's public? can't be bothered to check the settings or whatever lol but if any of y'all are interested in checking out my ~personally curated list of Caleb Hyles~ it's right here.

... All right, I lied, I'm checking the settings to make sure y'all can listen to the playlist lol and it looks like anyone I give the link can listen to it? and the Public/Secret status is just whether it's on my profile. So that's... fine I guess?

For some reason, that reminds me of this Brazilian classic

The other day I ended up down a rappit hole and found a French rap remix of a dramatic instrumental bit from Escaflowne: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eMYtVJtOtMA

"rappit hole" is my favorite term so far this week, I love it. Also, when I saw "dramatic instrumental bit", I literally thought "ooh wouldn't it be cool if it was Shadow of Doubt, but that's pretty unlikely, I'm still gonna check it out and see what they did though" and WHAT DO YOU KNOW.

Anyway, for today's "what am I listening to" for me: B asked me what kind of OSTs I couldn't find on Spotify so now I'm listening to my favorite Bleach track. (There are a LOT of good ones but this one is my favorite for So Many Reasons.) Chokkaku

(And B, if you go to listen to the song: DON'T READ THE COMMENTS! THEY HAVE SPOILERS!!)

My favorite Haikyuu track is almost certainly Ue: https://youtu.be/attNJ5pluDE

But keep in my mind I've listened to the entire sountrack pretty obsessively lmao

Howl's Moving Castle theme by Sväng, one of my favorites of the many covers of the song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f1YOr7SSkvk

Sväng is great.

Welp, due to mention of anime sound tracks, I'm currently listening to The World from .hack//sign

Hmm. I wonder how well the original .hack stands up to a rewatch.

I haven't seen it for a billion years but from what I recall, they were pretty vague about how the VR works and the nature of the world offline - it was almost entirely about the mechanics and weird metaphysical things going on within the MMO itself - so it should hold up pretty well. And the soundtrack is ACE.
