is it just me....

Post by senbonzakura »

.... or does the user info being on the right side of the forum posts feel REALLY WEIRD???

Most forums have it on the left side, right? (ha) Like, I'm not making that up or hallucinating, am I. That was the thing?

Seriously though I keep looking over to the left side of the screen and being real confused like "wait hold on where's the poster info? who posted this? where's their name and avatar???" and then I'm like, oh, right, it's over there....

.... probably doesn't help that a lot of people haven't added an avatar yet, actually, haha
it is surprisingly difficult to find good low-res image motifs to put in one's signature these days

I just spent ten minutes trying to find some nice little cherry blossoms i could stick in here and NADA. ~.~ I'm going to make Cal make me something, he'll probably be open to making you a signature image as well.

I can't make a userpic small enough in filesize to upload. :/ I'm sure I could find some software to shrink it but ehhhh right now I am a cool planet

If it's 90x90 and you save it as a jpg instead of a png using MS Paint it should be small enough, although admittedly mine was just barely under the cut-off. (It was 8Kb saved in Paint as a png, but 5 point something as a jpg)

If your image software has an option to set the compression level of a jpeg file, that could do the trick. I had to compress my image down a bit to get it from 9kb to below 6.

I'm pretty sure both Krita and Gnu IMP can do userdefined compression like that.
