I have a three-way tie. Looking for a tiebreaker or someone to make it a four-way tie.

[x] Write-In: A more direct put-down. "Well, I can certainly see why you're not the supernaturals expert."

I had a four-way tie so I rolled a d4 and picked the second option!

[x] Ignore: "-Of course, a few of us got bit in the process, but we managed..."

Blake ignored the interruption.  She'd heard enough of those, after all.

"Of course, a few of us got bit in the process, but we managed to use other means to communicate until we'd gotten the things all corralled up.  It's kind of sad they're so nasty, because they're beautiful things.  And, to be honest, talking in rainbows is fairly beautiful itself."

She tilted her head at Del, who was pursing her lips in - not displeasure? Caution.

"You've had experience with this, then?  It wasn't in your books."

Blake smiled. This, she was absolutely confident in.

"If I put everything in the books, they'd be a lot thicker.  I've got notes on it, though; I'm saving it for a later book.  Probably five.  Besides."  She winked.  "My books are works of fiction."

"Heavily influenced by fact."  Del relaxed minutely.  Maybe that would be enough.  "Icelandic Devil Butterflies.  Everything I've seen and read suggests that they're a myth, you know."

Blake gestured vaguely.  "They're like unicorns.  There's a lot of myth added on top of them, so much that it's hard to sort out the core creature.  Not that we saw a lot of unicorns in the Navy," she added ruefully.  "I should've gone into archaeology."

Drew took a step forward and made a noise, not yet a word. Del held up her hand.

"It's a direction." Del's voice was firm.  "So, what do we need to do?  What do you know about these things?"

Does Blake:

[ ] Pull out her notebook to check her notes
[ ] Start answering from memory
[ ] Wait to see if Drew is going to complain more
[ ] Other (write-in)

This will remain open until I have three+ votes.
