I'm of course disappointed there are no new quests (I *adored* the quests, Cal. If you haven't finished them yet, I highly recommend them.) BUT I'm really glad to hear they've stopped trying to tear ahead on making new things and are instead focusing on fixing glitches and QOL for existing players. Plus getting to redo the early seasons is wonderful as someone who didn't get to play them originally! All those items were just ... lost forever to me. And now I get to have them!

EDIT: oh you mean the jumping SFX! I don't know how I missed that! Yeah it can be irritating. The fae and phoenix have the most abrasive jump sounds. They actually turned them down this update, they all used to be a lot louder ... D:
Yeah I love the quests! I'm not super far on them yet but I do them pretty regularly when I'm playing.

And yeah, I just... I wish there was a way to turn the sound off lol although I do like the new footstep sounds a lot, I didn't notice them right away but it's a nice immersive detail. Lots of new SFX and general UX stuff since I last played - most of it's good, but the cat jumping sound is just like hrrrrhgghhh

(turns out the unicorn one is fine, it's just a muted whicker instead of a high-pitched "PRRRR!" which is a fine sound just NOT. SO OFTEN. PLEASE. maybe just a little "mirrup" instead ghhgh I might do feedback if it gets really annoying)
I would say leave the feedback! I will as well because I don't like playing my phoenix for exactly this reason. The very loud 'PEEP!' every time I jump is just too much. A character sound slider would be amazing, since I don't want to lose the other SFX.
Boo!

Yeah I will, I'm in a similar boat, can't stand playing my senri mains 'cause of the jump noise.

Btw, what times do you tend to play?

I tend to play after 4pm my time (BST) on weekdays, most frequently sometime between 7pm-10pm, and sporadically throughout the weekend up until 10pm. If we have any crossover times, that would be super cool

Jake did try the game as well though! I mention this now because I was unable to play with them due to the evils of timezones, but you might have better luck?

oh that does remind me that if there's a window that works for you I can try to be on then! I can be very flexible apart from when I sleep.

Hmm, that's a little early for me to be able to get on the comp these days but I'll ping you if it looks like I have an opportunity.

Alas, it would be super easy if I could play it on my tablet PC but it's a 32bit processor so no dice

I played the mobile version a bit but it's super buggy and laggy compared to the PC version, or I would recommend trying it. :/

Maybe I will catch you on a weekend sometime.

Kinda low-key bummed still; I did the Bluddy quest and didn't realize the easter egg bit at the end was a branch choice re: what items you get and can get.

I mean, I'm not entirely sure I would've wanted just one Blooderfly Back Buddy instead of a repeatable recipe for a sanctuary item I don't want but can make for other people, but "making a decision based on feelings" and "making a decision based on game rewards" are two totally different decisions!

Same, I actually got NEITHER! I don't have Bluddy and I don't have the sketch inspiration. I'm sure I did *something* but there we are. Nothing. D: There's another sketch inspiration tied to a quest I completely missed as well which is SUPER FRUSTRATING.

I hope Wildworks adds them into the game in other ways in future. :/

Oh Oh! PS Terrana made an account on Friday and they are systematically climbing EVERYTHING and testing EVERY BOUNDARY and it was very educational following them around! (and also fun).
