tbh my reading habits are basically shot. I finally got an SD card in the nook tablet so I might be able to get a system in place to get and keep a stock of books on there to read sometimes, but the state of our bookcases and apt and Life In General has also led to just not having the time and place to spend time reading any of my collection of print books, which is another long-running source of frustration I look forward to being remedied in the near future.

I used to constantly have a small stack of books next to the bed that I'd work through and refill but I haven't been able to keep that up for uh... ten years? Yeah. Ten years. Anyway. Last time I tried reviving that habit, the book I was in the middle of got knocked behind the dresser by a small child when I wasn't in the room and I forgot about it because as they say, out of sight out of mind, and then like a week later went "wait wtf happened to my book" and then I FOUND it like three months later lol

Oh yeah I started reading that and really liked it! I don’t know where I stopped but I never caught up, I should try it again soon

FYI Royal Road is one of the websites supported by FanFicFare so you can download it straight into calibre and keep it up to date!
Fortunately for me, it was the first (and only) thing I added to teksti before I forgot about it because I closed the tab lmao so it still has the last page I read saved. (Although technically I think RR saves your place, too?)

That would require reading on the computer, which I avoid doing ;P

True, true, lol I was reading it on my tab PC using it sorta like a Very Large E-Reader.

Tbh I liked the early parts enough I might just start over anyway, I apparently left off right in the middle of Major Downward Plot Developments so it's pretty intense and I only have the vaguest memory of what led up to it,,,

Oh right I never wrote about my reading habits, lol

tldr I never go a day without reading fiction... but it's far more likely to be fanfic than anything else. And it can be the same chapter several times in a row because I have Feelings to process, or an entire novel or three. Getting an e-reader with built-in lights and having access to free ebooks through the university library have been nothing short of life-changing, though I still read printed books

oh and I've been getting into audiobooks! It's not my favorite medium but I need to get less complacent about my pitiable listening skills.
