Nope, nvm. I'm using glimpse and though I can get it down to about 17kb by making the image 90x90 and compressing a bit, that's as small as it gets before it gets veeery ugly from compression.

Planets are fine with me though.

I'm still not sure if you were intending to use the crow by Jake, but if you WERE, I threw it in Paint, shrank it to 90x90 and saved it as a jpg and it came out fine and under 6k

I have increased the avatar size caps significantly; you should have no further problems.

It's probs because this stuff is built on K.I.S.S. and "if it ain't broke" kind of ideas, I'd guess. Someone probably came to make it look sized right but otherwise I would not be surprised if they basically copied regular webcode or something?
But I am not a programmer so I'm just assuming.

I think the KISS thing is probably on point, part of why it's great is it isn't trying to do all kinds of fancy bells and whistles. And doesn't give a shit about "streaming updates" lmao.

Although, in a point against phpBB, the default theme (which I modified to get this one) had the base font size at ten pixels. HARDCODED at ten pixels. lmfao. I changed it to 1em because I am a smart person who acknowledges that there are a lot of different screen sizes and viewer text-size preferences.
