I just binged all of Brimstone and Roses, a webcomic about a bisexual woman with anxiety so desperate to appear that she's gotten over her ex that she summons a demon to be her plus one at a wedding. The demon is demisexual and loves cats but has put a sneaky clause in her contract that means he gets to stay on Earth as long as he keeps ruining her love life ...

It's cute and very sweet and the art is brilliant. It also has a fat protagonist potrayed really respectfully!! It does go dark places at times but usually content warns. I completely adored it. It is unfortunately on hiatus right now but there are 91 updates and it's all brilliant so far. :)

hey remember how I posted about Muted being an adorable and totally awesome but sometimes super dark fantasy lesbian polyamory story where the villains and antagonists are horrible abusive monsters

creator teamed up with another person and is making LoveBot which is basically also an adorable and totally awesome but sometimes super dark (probably polyamory) story with horrible abusive monsters but with androids instead of witches, cyberpunk instead of fantasy, and gay boys instead of lesbians (but still with a side of lesbians) and also the MC has the most amazing hair i am not even joking

so Daybreak got picked up from canvas to be remade as an original and on one hand I'm super excited but on the other I'm already slightly disappointed because it got a PoV switch to Marcus being cute about liking Cog and I liked it better when it was the PoV of Cog obliviously and adorably crushing on Marcus while mostly not realizing Marcus also liked them and now it's all backwards and and *rolls around whining*

also while i'm thinking of it, The Advanced Player of the Tutorial Tower is most of the things I would've wanted The Gamer to be except it doesn't drive itself straight into gross hell. even the Obligatory Harem? subplot is actually kind of hilarious and remarkably not harem-y

right?? I didn't have much in the way of hopes when I tried it out but it's actually surprisingly great lmao

the power progression feels good too; most of it is unlocking system info instead of fighting strength, and while progressing the later is kind of contrived, (spoilers redacted) and the mc starting out already overpowered as heck makes it work
