I've been following Sleepless Domain for a bajillion years now and it's so good and everyone should read it but mostly I just need to be like MAJOR spoilers for Chapter 18
It took me until this page to notice it but then it suddenly clicked that her losing her eye and Tessa's hairstyle getting increasingly face-covering as she got more depressed were COMPLETELY INTENTIONAL AND PLANNED ALL ALONG AND THAT IS THE MOMENT WHERE I REALIZED WHAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN TO TESSA AND OH MY GOD MARY CAGLE STOP DESTROYING MY HEART LIKE THIS
also everyone is still super adorable and great even when the plot is tearing me apart

I forget when exactly I noticed it- I *think* during Kokoro flashback stuff- but there's some similarities in how Kokoro and Tessa's hair behaves, and in their body language when Tessa isn't in the depths of her depression, and considering how overly confident prologue Tessa was, it does make me wonder if Undine had an unadmitted crush on Tessa at some point?
So I'm just sitting on this "maybe coincidence maybe not" and waiting to see if I'm reading too much into it
