so Blaseball took the social medias by storm a few weeks back and I was like yo this is great! i love making simulations, maybe I should make my own simulated sport, too! and then Blaseball was cursed with success and had to take a two week Extended Siesta at which point, lacking the ability to watch blaseball games, I finally sat down and made my own game thingie for real.
It's called Follyball and it's, as you might guess from the name, a spoof on volleyball, because tbh I know anything about basically three sports: track & field, equestrian competition, and volleyball. When it comes to "what would be a fun team-based competitive sport to simulation" of those three, the choice is pretty obvious lmfao
I'm hoping to get it officially in open beta (that means public and with final data but possibly still bugs to be caught) on Monday, but I got some more work to do before that can happen. (Some of it can wait until post-launch... since it's mostly tournament stuff, and the tournament happens on the weekend... but we'll see.) IN THE MEANTIME, however, here's some preview images!

Progress slowed 'cause I hibernate in the cold *cough* and the blessings stuff turned out to be more implementation logistics than I anticipated, but I'm still hoping to get it officially launched soon. It's SO CLOOOOOOSE
