Honestly I noticed the generally low level of activity around here and was like y'know what I'm struggling to post too I'm just gonna.... let it go until after Christmas... so it all worked out lolcorvabird wrote: ↑Thu 30 Dec, 2021, 12:59 pmI'd have struggled to keep up over the holiday season, so it's worked out great for me.InspectorCaracal wrote: ↑Wed 29 Dec, 2021, 9:39 pmI hope everyone's enjoyed the game's Totally According To Keikaku* holiday-season hiatus! We'll be starting up again after New Year's.

@corvabird @skysailor @Wysteria @zatnosk
OKAY! I'm getting ready to spin this game back up so since it's been a while, here's a few refreshers, reminders, and updates!
First! Don't forget that just 'cause I bring NPCs into a scene doesn't mean you can't interact with each other. I fully admit that I tend to write and enjoy Dramatic Attention-Grabbing NPCs but don't take that as a hint you gotta actually pay attention to them all the time lol.
Second! When you're interacting with another player, I highly recommend either quoting the post you're replying to - or if it's not a reply, make use of the new @ mention system to tag them in at the top or bottom! That'll help make sure everyone knows when their character is being addressed.
And lastly, on the note of Dramatic Attention-Grabbing NPCs, this is more for the future but for the sake of being explicit about stuff, I want to make sure y'all know that any NPCs I introduce into a scene are potentially worth talking to, even if they're not the ones I'm throwing in your face. Or really, even if they're not the ones that are throwing themselves in your PCs faces lol.

I am, for the record, waiting on other folks (not Corva) to post before I go another round.

It's nice to be playing a nervous character. Most of my TTRPG characters have been much more confident. ^_^
Boo!

Oh same. Altho I dunno if I even could play a nervous character tbh, I'd probably wind up getting nervous about it,,,,,
A nervous NPC maybe

Re: OOC Chatter for Cal's KIN game
I'm of two minds regarding what I should do; on one hand it's more or less "my turn" in the thread (it's been a week, and everyone else has posted at least once since me), but on the other hand, I don't feel a specific need to react to the things that have been said in the last few posts. And "nods along silently" feels like a very short post verging on spam - not that it is spam, but it feels like useless filler that's only there for the technical reason of indicating I've read along and am still playing.
Should I just do a "nods along silently" post (in a few more words), or what's the protocol here?
