Comfy clothes with a dose of gothic

Mori is heavily influenced by nature themes so it seemed fitting for this setting

Since you've conveniently made a thread...

What is prairie gothic?
it is surprisingly difficult to find good low-res image motifs to put in one's signature these days

Pretty sure one of y'all made up the term but it was back in Twitter days so I might be misremembering.

Amusingly, a lot like dark mori.

gauzy floral skirts and gauzy shirts (or otherwise loose flowing shirts and canvas pants, never thought of a masculine version before), pref. barefoot, sort of little house on the prairie meets a magazine shoot from the early 80s, but in dark colors.

Oh, so it isn't an actual existing fashion type, that explains why I had no idea what it was. >.>

... Running around barefoot in the middle of a high-tech dystopian metropolis sounds inadvisable. <.<

Perhaps toe shoes (the sort that are like gloves with a finger or I guess toe for each toe to go in) that are either clear or in something that would be easily taken as a fleshtone for the character at first glance.

I'm given to understand that these are something that's love 'em or hate 'em, but the character might love 'em. Some people it seems like them for parkour and if that turns out to be something the character likes...

This sounds really cool! I like the idea of jikatabi but never tried them...

Ooh toe shoes! (I think my mother has a pair).

Since going barefoot in a modern dystopia can be problematic (I've walked barefoot around modern northern cities, I know of what I speak), I imagine that unless the dystopia is Very Clean, it probably is problematic.

"Shoes that almost look like you're barefoot but still protect your feet" sound like the PERFECT cyberpunk style accessory to me. Reminds me a little of those clear plastic jackets in Bladerunner. If you wanted to get fancy with the parkour stuff, too, you could do some sorta special grip tech on the soles.

...although trying to do parkour in ankle-length floofy skirts sounds like a pain in the butt and something you only do if you really enjoy A Challenge.
