I'm extremely over save HP stories but it's possible I read too much HP fanfic anyway lol
Is there such a thing?

I would say we should share links but our tastes in fanfic are very likely venn diagrams that look like

O O
Bee has read at LEAST an order of magnitude more HP fanfic than the totality of all the things you've ever written, Lyn, take that as you will.
Sounds accurate, tbh? I've been reading HP fanfic since 2000 and I've always read a lot of fanfic lol

If you mean fix-it fics where someone saves Harry from the Dursleys pre-Hogwarts, yeah, that's been a thing since at least Prisoner of Azkaban. I've never been really into them, but I'm still fond of the Dangerverse stories... though that was a lifetime ago lmao
The "is there such a thing" was "too much Harry Potter Fanfiction."

In re fix-it fics, I had a list at some point of people-rescuing-Harry I'd read. Then I read more.

I think my favorite people-rescuing-Harry so far is Snape deciding this kid of his old-school antagonist is probably up to no good and he's not going to accept Dumbledore's reassurances, so he goes to check in on Harry and spots him doing yard work with no glasses since Dudley busted them... Which means Snape's reminded of Lily and not James.

I really need to go re-find the link and finish reading that. (Harry Potter And The Problem With Potions iirc)

Also, Lyn, for some reason for the past day every time I see the Treees fic I'm reading it in my head with the same voice and intonation I use in my head when I see the History Channel "I'm not saying it's aliens, but it's... ALIENS!" meme.
