SPOILERS! Do not read any further, if you have not watched the 6 episodes of Unsolved Mysteries (and intend to).
I've just watched last episode and I just want to talk about this show! I know the intend of the show is making you sit in your comfy chair and yell at the TV because you "figured out" what happened, and "why haven't they arrested the murderer!". But I think the show did a pretty good job on that.
Episode 1 with the hole in the roof - what do you think happened? How did he get the distance to the place on the roof?
And the episode with the hair dresser!!! It was the husband! He is the creepiest thing ever! The way he talks about her, about owning her, and the way he keeps her ash in a BOX(!) in his closet. Makes me sick!
So if you have seen the show - what did you think happened in Episode 1, and do you have any comments on the other cases?

Re: Unsolved Mysteries (TV show)
I haven't watched the show, but I wanted to point out that it's possible to hide spoilers if you want!
Do you like mystery/crime as a genre?

Re: Unsolved Mysteries (TV show)
I'm sorry if I spoiled it for you!
I was considering using the spoiler thing, but then I thought, what if the entire thread ends up being behind that. And I got confused and chose not to hide it because the thread was about the show. I'm still confused, do you think I should hide it?
I love mysteries! And I love a good made "who did it" crime. But there are also so much bad stuff in those genres out there, so I'm not sure I like it as a genre XD
Re: Unsolved Mysteries (TV show)
Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to imply you should hide the spoilers! Just that I wasn't sure on what terms you wanted to talk about the show, and whether or not you knew about the spoiler tag, as you warned for spoilers right at the beginning
I enjoy mystery too, but I don't really watch live action TV, lol. I used to read a lot of longform articles on real crime (I swear it's some of the best journalism around these days!) but at some point I just couldn't stomach it anymore. ._.
OTOH, I still love fictional mysteries, particularly anime (shocking, I know)!

Re: Unsolved Mysteries (TV show)
Ah, okay, that's cool, no worries
I was so sure I wouldn't enjoy true crime, but I caught myself enjoying it, so there's no running from that
I listen to a true crime podcast too, where two true crime fans dig deep into two crimes each week and it's fascinating and horrifying.
I felt sick when watching Making a Murderer, I got so mad and furious. I really enjoyed the new lawyer in season two, though. She might be my spirit animal
But yeah, I actually prefer a mystery - crime or no crime. I get so curious, I gotta now the truth aaargh!

Have you ever watched Gosick or Hyouka? They're both mysteries but wildly different (both in setting and tone)! If you ever want a break from Serious Crime, Hyouka is lovely!
I remember really enjoying that Dirk Gently series from a million years ago but I can't remember what it was like xD
