Re: Fun Stuff!
Oh hey if anyone needs a puzzle game obsession, I'd love to drag someone else into my Bean and Nothingness addiction. That looks like it could be a good bit of fun. Oh! Speaking of games, I'm currently waffling over getting Kemono Mahjong (https://cyberdog.ca/kemono-mahjong/), which isn't the solit...

Re: Today I Learned
Today I'm sharing a new maze generation method I learned about last week. New to me, and apparently a new method too, called Origin Shift. The video by the person who came up with it: New Maze Generating Algorithm And a video on maze generation algorithms the mentions it: What School Didn't Tell You...

Re: What have you been listening to recently?
At least this morning it was Billie Eilish. There's an ad where a person starts singing along to a song and heads outside, and when I tried looking up what the song was I ran across a message suggesting it was one of those cases where the advertising folks hire someone to make a sound-alike song rat...

Re: time to be a Consulting Holmes Expert
So apparently a while back Andy Weir wrote, James Moriarty: Consulting Criminal. A sort of mirror image of the Holmes books in which Moriarty as he works his way up the underworld ladder solves issues for criminals. Haven't listened to any of it, but it looks interesting https://www.audible.com/pd/J...

Re: Game jams!
Nice, there's some interesting ones there and I haven't even finished the list yet. Speaking of, a few days back I decided to try putting together a small collection of random tables to generate magic kitchen/food-related items that might show up in a fantasy world. Not even close to finished, but b...

Actually first spotted prior today, but via James Davis Nicoll I learned that a domesticated dog/pampas fox crossbreed was recently discovered. https://www.nationalgeographic.com/anim ... fox-hybrid

Re: Today I Learned
Today I learned about cryptic crosswords and that made me think of @Alex and @thiskurt I love the idea of making crosswords, especially cryptics. But, I haven't put in the time to actually get good at it. (My mind really loves to jump from potential hobby to potential hobby going, "Ooh! Shiny!...
